The Oakesdale School District is committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn at their full potential. One of the simplest and most important ways for this to occur is for students to be at school, everyday. This year, the Oakesdale School District will be providing parents and community members information related to attendance, and the effects that missing school can have. Information will be provided in the monthly Hawk Tawk as well as on this website. We look forward to this partnership with our parents and community members in making sure every child is at school, everyday.
Registration dates are August 16-17th in the office, from 9am to 3pm. ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO MEET WITH DR. DINGMAN TO GET A SCHEDULE.

PRESCHOOL NEWS: 3 year old preschool will be Monday and Tuesday this year; 4 year old preschool will be 5 days a week. See more information under the Early Childhood tab at the top of the webpage.
Thanks to a Capitol Projects Levy passed in 2015, the Oakesdale School District is improving safety and energy efficiency in the elementary/office building. Throughout the entire summer, the windows will all be removed, new walls constructed, and new energy efficient windows installed. The photos below are of the prep work that occurred during the last few weeks of school with the move out process, and photos above of the various stages of construction. Progress has been rapid and you will see the difference.
The Oakesdale Elementary School was presented with a $1500 check from Alan Bafus of Northwest Farm Credit Services on April 11, 2015. Mr. Bafus presented the check after the Oakesdale Elementary ASB applied for the grant, using their $900 from their fall community dinner as matching funds. The ASB is raising money for new playground equipment and this generous grant from NW Farm Credit Services will help the group achieve this goal. Thank you to NW Farm Credit Services and Mr. Bafus for the generous grant.
